The Batman Grapnel Gun is returning to Fortnite Battle Royale in the next update.

The item was last available during Chapter 1 Season X, making this its first return in almost seven years.

What the Grapnel Gun Does

The Batman Grapnel Gun allows players to quickly pull themselves toward structures, cliffs, rooftops, and other surfaces.

It was originally introduced as part of Fortnite’s Batman crossover and became one of the most recognizable mobility items from Chapter 1.

Its return could make rotations faster and give players more ways to escape fights, reach high ground, or move through the new Batman-themed areas.

Batman Beach Buggy

The update is also expected to introduce a new Batman Beach Buggy.

Early details suggest the vehicle has been upgraded with wing-like attachments, although it is not yet clear whether those wings are cosmetic or provide a gameplay ability.

The returning Grapnel Gun will join the new Batcave landmark, Batman cosmetics, Batman Sprite quests, and other DC content arriving in Fortnite.
